Andy Golub is an artist who finds inspiration all around him, or better yet, in the people standing around him. Body painting is becoming a walking work of art, and Deco's Ellie Rodriguez is learning about beautiful people becoming beautiful masterpieces.
Talk about feeling comfortable in your own skin. If you're working with artist Andy Golub, chances are you'll be turning lots of heads.
Andy Golub: It's not just the body of the model's I'm painting, we're talking, we're hanging out, we're part of this cool work environment, and it all really becomes like this dynamic piece of art."
He uses their bodies as his canvas, so while Andy's at work, remember to keep still.
Ellie: "Does it tickle?"
Kristin Lashere: "No, definitely not when a guy does it."
As for the goods Andy's working with, his models shouldn't have to worry too much about clogging their pours.
Andy Golub: "This is actually theatrical makeup, it's not paint. It's very gentle, in fact, paint has chemical properties. This doesn't have any of that, in fact if you walk it will fade easily."
But don't walk too far, because making a masterpiece like this can take anywhere between 4 to 6 hours.
For andy, it's all in a day's work.
Andy Golub: "The exciting thing about this project is that I make it up as I go along, so when I come in, I really don't know what I'm going to do."
